Help & support
Simple answers for everyday fasting.
Fastyra works without an account. Most questions can be solved from Settings on your iPhone, and your records never need to leave your device.

Before you troubleshoot
Fastyra has no account or server copy of your history. If the app has been deleted and you did not make a JSON backup, the developer cannot recover the missing local records.
Fastyra is a scheduling and educational tool, not medical advice. Stop fasting if you feel unwell and seek appropriate professional or emergency care. Do not use this page for urgent health help.
How do I choose or change a fasting plan?
The welcome setup offers 12:12, 14:10, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 and 23:1, plus a custom daily target from 8 to 23 hours. You can choose active days and one to six meals inside the eating window.
To change it later, open Settings → Fasting plan. If today already contains activity, Fastyra may apply the recurring change from the next suitable cycle so the current record remains coherent.
I tapped Start or Finish late. Can I correct the time?
Yes. Starting and finishing always shows a confirmation where you can adjust the actual time before saving. For an older fast, open History to add a forgotten entry or edit or delete an existing one.
Why did a reminder not arrive?
In Fastyra, open Settings → Notifications, enable reminders, and check each alert type you want. Then verify that notifications are allowed for Fastyra in iOS Settings. Quiet hours, Focus modes and system notification settings can silence or delay an alert. Fastyra schedules notifications locally and does not use a push server.
How do I add or refresh a widget?
Complete Fastyra’s welcome setup first. Then edit the iPhone Home Screen or Lock Screen, choose to add a widget and search for Fastyra. Small and medium widgets are available for the Home Screen; inline, circular and rectangular families are available for the Lock Screen.
If a widget looks out of date, open Fastyra once and confirm that a plan is active. Widget refresh timing is ultimately managed by iOS. You can enable a discreet widget in Fastyra Settings to hide fasting details.
My Apple Watch does not show the current state. What can I do?
Confirm that the Fastyra Watch app is installed from the Watch app on your iPhone and that the Watch is paired and reachable. Open Fastyra on the iPhone, then open it on the Watch. The iPhone is the source of truth; basic Watch actions are reconciled when the devices can communicate.
Visual privacy for the Watch is controlled on the Watch itself. Notification privacy is a separate setting on the iPhone.
How do I back up or move my history?
Open Settings → Data → Export backup (JSON) and save the file somewhere you control. On the destination iPhone, use Import backup, review the preview, and choose whether to merge or replace local data. A CSV export is intended for reading fasting sessions in a spreadsheet; it is not a complete restorable backup.
How do I erase my Fastyra data?
Open Settings → Data → Erase all data and confirm. This removes the plans, history, preferences, companion state and notifications controlled by Fastyra, then returns to welcome setup. Files you previously exported elsewhere are not deleted by the app.
Can I change language or 12/24-hour time?
Yes. In Settings, choose English, Spanish, German or French, or follow the device language. Unsupported device languages fall back to English. Time can follow the system automatically or be fixed to 12- or 24-hour format.
Do the fasting stages measure what is happening in my body?
No. Stage markers are educational, time-based estimates. Fastyra does not measure glucose, insulin, ketones, fat use or cellular activity, and it does not access Health data. The Learn tab explains the evidence and limitations.
Where can I get help with a purchase, download or refund?
Apple processes App Store purchases and refunds. Use Apple’s Report a Problem service or Apple Support for transaction and download issues. Fastyra contains no in-app subscription or additional purchase.
Built-in help
Open Fastyra → Settings → Help & support for the guide included with your installed version. The Learn tab explains intermittent fasting in general terms and clearly marks the limits of its educational stage estimates.
